Alan Bryson is a registered patent attorney with over fifteen years of experience, including a foundation in patent prosecution followed by eight years in-house with a Fortune 500 oilfield services company. Mr. Bryson counsels clients in procuring, enforcing, defending, and monetizing intellectual property rights. He has extensive experience in product clearance and defensive strategy, including non-infringement, invalidity, and counter-assertions, and has led multiple successful post-grant strategies including inter partes review (IPR) of competitor patents. He is adept at negotiating and drafting all types of IP and commercial legal agreements, including licensing, development, master service/supply, consulting, and non-disclosure agreements. He has also led IP due diligence for numerous M&A transactions involving acquisitions and divestitures of businesses and technologies.
Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Mr. Bryson was a mechanical engineer, with exposure to oil and gas product design and high-tech applications of composite materials.
